Ad Hoc transforms the laser scanner survey in a real 3D information system (3D GIS). With Ad Hoc you can take the census of deteriorated infrastructure, record the stratigraphic units of an archaeological dig, schedule the time and cost of a restoration. All informations are organized according to their correct 3D position. You can question them based on attributes (eg select the areas to be the last maintenance), based on the geometric characteristics (eg, selected portions of deteriorated joints longer than 3 m), and by the spatial position (eg. select the materials found at an altitude above x).

	Layers In Ad Hoc you can organize all measures, drawings, sections etc... in a layers system. The colors represent the different themes, you can turn on or off to show or hide areas of interest.
Hot spot You can attach external files to points or areas, which can be accessed directly from the 3D model. For example, select on a tunnel model a set of lights, and link them the PDF data sheet for the model.
	3D GIS Through a simple interface you can create tables to associate attributes to the elements measured or drawn on the 3D model. These tables are queried in SQL. The results are highlighted on the 3D model. You select a record and the graphics navigation engine takes you directly above it.
3D archaeological excavation Ad Hoc has a specific plug-in to manage the documentation of an archaeological excavation. You can fill out UUSS sheets in an internal database, put them in the correct location within the 3D model of the site, define the mutual relations between the UUSS, divide the different archaeological phases. A simple interface will facilitate the construction of the stratigraphic chart (matrix).
